(That's the original flavor of Mary's Gone Crackers and Spicy Hummus)
Yummy! I loved annie's goddess dressing, and miss it, so i'm looking forward to trying this one! My favourite thing to do with goddess dressing was to put it on steamed rice and veggies.
ReplyDeletegreen goddess paleeze! it's far removed from THE Green Goddess dressing that is based on tarragon and chives...
ReplyDeleteDid you try it, Bobooshe? It's gotten rave reviews on other sites where I've shared it. I never claimed it tasted just like Annie's Goddess Dressing. And the Annie's Goddess Dressing I've had didn't contain tarragon OR chives... So color me confused!
ReplyDeleteThe ingredients in Annie's are:
Expeller pressed canola oil, water, tahini, cider vinegar, soy sauce, lemon juice, sea salt, garlic, toasted sesame seeds, parsley, chives, xanthan gum
This recipe contains most of the same ingredients. That said, there are lots of "goddess" dressings, made by various companies and restaurants. This one comes closest to one I had at a yummy vegan restaurant years ago.
(oops, my mistake, it does contain chives. but no tarragon)
ReplyDeletei guess i'm pretty old school..when i hear green goddess or ceasar salad i'm expecting a certain group of classic essential ingredients..it's not a big deal just one of my pet peeves..the recipe of your dressing sounds yummy..how about a new name?
