I've never heard of nutritional yeast that doesn't have B12, but since that's the primary reason I bought it, I would hate to discover that this one doesn't. Does anyone know?Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03801829157271239012noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35701713.post-29800873445749044122007-03-19T20:25:00.000-04:002007-03-19T20:25:00.000-04:00Hi Anonymous - Bob's Red Mill and Red Star both ma...Hi Anonymous - Bob's Red Mill and Red Star both make nutritional yeast you can buy in smaller packages. Seems like any health food store would have them (are you sure Whole Foods doesn't have nutritional yeast in their bulk section?) If not, you can order them online. You cannot republish an entire recipe. However, one cannot technically copyright a list of ingredients, only the instructions (which is considered the creative part of the recipe) is truly copyrightable. So the legal thing to do would be to write all the instructions in your own words.

The most ethical and safest thing to do, of course, is to rename the recipe, rewrite the instructions, and change the ingredient list at least a little - As well as give some credit to the original author of the recipe. That is generally my approach.

Ellen- Nutritional yeast is a form of non-active (non-rising) yeast that is one of the only vegan sources of Vitamin B12, it has a slightly yeasty, slightly cheesy flavor so is often used in cheese replacements in vegan cooking.ByTheBayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06670549761665347741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35701713.post-6048531286991183682007-02-23T22:59:00.000-05:002007-02-23T22:59:00.000-05:00Ooh, that looks good. Perhaps you could post about it. I would give credit and link to the recipe, but am I allowed to write it out on my blog? I did make 2 changes -- GF pasta and added chicken -- so it's not exactly like the original. I thought you might be able to help me. THANKS!JLHessehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05172342879180755272noreply@blogger.com
